Bird Success

It was a cold morning and the bird feeders were full of seed.  They were everywhere!  On cold mornings they are always hungry!  I decided that it would be a great chance to practice taking pictures of birds.  And the good thing is:  They actually came out pretty good!!  :) I got to use my mom's camera and her nice lens.  Here are some:

Cardinals:
 What a mouthful!

These are neat "male and female" shots.

Pretty female cardinal. :)

This male has decided that the feeder is HIS.
Notice how the entire feeder is leaning.  :)

Doesn't she look fluffy?  :D

Mourning Doves:

These creatures are the easiest things to photograph because they have pea-sized(or smaller) brains.  You can pretty much get within two feet of them before they decided to actually take flight.
:)  One of them is blinking.

Right now in the GBBC the Northern Cardinal has made 1st place for most frequently reported species with the Mourning Dove at a close second.
More pictures later!!  :)
