A quiet walk after the storms

There's really nothing like a nice quiet walk after a large storm.  (And may I say that we (thankfully) did not receive any major damage!)

I like daisies.  :)

I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture but there are water droplets on it.

It was still drizzling.  This is our bird bath.

All the weeds in our garden are blooming......   That can only mean that we'll have to weed soon.

I found this BEAUTIFUL Passion Flower!!!!  What a great find!!

It's like this all over our land.  Just twigs and branches everywhere.  This is actually just a picture of what the small things look like.... they really do get bigger.

Anyway!  That's it for now!  :)  Only 6 more days left to vote!!!  (Hint-Hint)  :D

Remember!

Only 1 week left to vote on "What kind of pictures would you like to see more of her?"!!!  I guess if there's a tie then I'll have to do all of them.  But if one wins then I'll dedicate an entire week on it(with a "post-a-day" hopefully) .  I'm rather excited!  I've never really focused on Insects or Pond life before!  I've done animals but not really in depth.  And of course I've done flowers and plants..... :D

It was raining when I decided to go outside to take some pictures.

Nature Photography Day

I just found out that today(June 15) is nature photography day!!!  How funny!!  And sadly I have no pictures at the moment to put up here.  But maybe later today I can get outside and get some.  :)

The Camera I Use

Suprised, my dear reader?  Were you in-visioning a large, bulky, black, expensive looking piece of equipment with straps and cases?   :)
This is the camera I use for my photography work.  It is a "Kodak EasyShare C613"  Sure it's modest and simple, but it works for me.  It was a Christmas present about 4 years ago.

The feature that I use the most is the "Close Up" setting.  It's for objects closer than 28 inches.  Sometimes it dosen't work and sometimes it does.  What I've found is that to get the best focus you have to experiment focusing at different distances away from the object and then just "crop" it later.

It has many other different options for what your snapping. I do not use all of them.  Here are just a few:
Landscape, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Text, Night Portrait, Museum, Self Portrait, Children, Sport, etc.

It's video setting is good.  The only thing that I don't like about it is that when you try and view the video that you've just taken on the camera it doesn't have sound.  I'm not sure if that's because I just haven't figured out how to turn it on or there really is no sound.  :(  I just have to wait until I load it on the computer, THEN it has sound.

I looked on Amazon and right now there are 7 used and 8 new in case anyone is interested.

Summer Pictures

I was trying to think about what kind of pictures would say summer.  It was easy for me to find stuff that would say spring.  But summer I just couldn't figure out what things to look for, besides pools and water.  :)  Then I thought well I'll just take a walk around and see if anything speaks to me.  I think it worked.  :)

Daisy, Daisy...

....Give me your answer, do,
I'm half crazy, all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet,
upon the seat,
of a bicycle built for two!
