Spring Challenge - Day 7

Today is the last day.  I've had lots of fun and I hope everyone else has too!!  :)  Today will be my favorite day of the Spring Challenge I think, because I will be sharing bonus photos!  So without further delay, here they are:

Spring Challenge - Day 6

We're nearing the end!!  So far it has been fun!  I hope everyone else is enjoying it.

Spring Challenge - Day 5

Here are my pictures for the day:

Very, Very, wet Vinka. 

Birds nest.  I'm not sure what kind of bird owns this nest, but there are not any eggs in it yet.  I hope to get a picture of little eggs at some point this spring.

Only two pictures today.  Here they are:

Star violets with dew drops on them.  

Daffodils.  Daffodil bloom pictures coming later this week!!

I'm proud to say... that with these two pictures... I have reached 100 photos so far this year!!  My goal is 366 or more.

Spring Challenge - Day 1

I'm excited about this challenge!  I've been taking photos and getting them ready for a while now!  

 I'll be posting around two or three pictures a day.  You certainly don't have to do this!  It's just a fun little challenge for myself.  Here are my pictures for the day:

What else says spring besides a robin?  :) 

Can you see the gnat?  I never noticed it was there until I looked at the picture again!!  Also, these flowers are called Star Violets.  They are extremely small but quite fun to photograph. 

I love the different colors in this one!!  The blue sky, the white flowers, and the dark limbs of the tree.

Some of you might have noticed the spring challenge post on your feedly, dashboard, whatever you use.  :D  Consider that your sneak peek!!  I was getting ready for the challenge(seeing if I did indeed have enough pictures, making sure everything was in place...etc.) well I accidently posted "day 5"!  :D  Luckily it doesn't appear on my blog but I can't take it off everyone's feedly!!!  :)

Spring Challenge!

*Thought I'd announce this way ahead of time so that everyone knows about and can start taking pictures now to get ready!*

To celebrate the 1st whole year that this blog has been up and running I decided it would be fun to do another one of these challenges.   The very first post I ever did was on March 19... the very last day of winter.  That picture became the official 2011 photo on here.   You can view the (very brief) post here. 

Here are the details for the challenge:

When: 

March 25 - March 31, 2012 

This is the first official week of Spring.

The Challenge:

The idea is to take at least one picture every day that "says" spring.  You can do more than one picture a day if you like(I like to post two daily) but only one is requiered.   The post "can" be wordless... but it would be nice if you identified what you took a picture of.  :)  Also..... it's ok to take pictures ahead of time... the only requierment here is that they are at least taken this year!  :) 

How to enter:

Anyone can enter!!  Once we get closer to the date of the actual challenge I'll post something where people can comment saying that they would like to join and where they will be putting their 

pictures(ex: blog, website, flickr)!  Then each day when I do my spring post comment at the bottom of that post with a link to your picture.  At the end of the challenge I'll post a list of all the bloggers( or photographer's ; ) that participated.   

Odds and ends...

Tell all your friends!!!  You can also grab a "Spring Challenge" picture at the bottom of this post and put it on your blog.  There are three to choose from.  But I will warn you.... it is not a "official" blog button so it doesn't quite work like one.  To use it, just drag the picture to your desktop - on your own blog find the "add a picture" gadget on your sidebar and upload the picture and insert my blog's link in the linky box(located above the picture).  Then it LOOKS like a real blog button!  :) 

If you have any questions about this challenge then please ask!!!  I may have forgot a detail or two....

Goal - 366 photos

My dear friend thought of this idea.  So I agreed.  The idea is to post a picture a day and get to 366 photo's/ 366 posts.  I think I can get in the pictures but I'm not so sure about the posts....
Here's my picture for the very first day:

This was pretty much what it looked like today although this picture was not taken today.  :( Sorry.  By the time I found out about the challenge it was pitch black outside.  I tried taking a picture of the moon but it didn't work out.  :(  I'll have to work on that.... I've always wanted to take pictures of the moon.

I found that I liked to take pictures of berries.  So I'll warn you.... you may see alot more berry pictures in your future.  :)  I was worried that they didn't "say" Fall enough.   Then I thought a bit more about the all wild birds that I see eating them right now.  Surely they are gathered by all animals in the Fall time.  That made me feel a bit better.

:) Two again.....  I love the first one and how near the outside of the tree the leaves were dark red but as you looked inside they became bight yellow.  My brother tells my this is because of the amount of sunlight the leaves get.  It might be true.... I've never really researched leaves before.

Fall Challenge

So how about a little fun?  :)  Sadly.... there's no prize..... or judging.  :(  BUT!!!  It is a good challenge I think!  Here's what you need to know!!

To post a picture that says fall each day.  You can post more than one picture or only one.  It can be wordless or not.
